Ware House traders’ body Resents CT officials’ action

JAMMU, Oct 27: Annoyed over the attitude of State Commercial Taxes Department officials, the business community under the banner of Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market, Jammu has warned the authorities to avoid adopting repressive measures.
Lodging strong protest over the attitude of CT department officials, the Federation has threatened to come on roads in case the Govt failed to check the indifferent attitude of the concerned authorities.
The Executive Committee of the Federation in a meeting held here under the chairmanship of its president RL Mahajan discussed the prevailing situation.
While launching a scathing attack on the authorities, the Federation lambasted State Govt for not tightening the noose of CT department officials who are creating hurdles in their trading activities least caring about the losses being incurred to them in this peak Festive season.
General secretary of the Federation Deepak Gupta alleged that CT Deptt officials are hell bent to damage their business interests during peak festive season by laying Nakas at various places en-route from Lakhanpur to Jammu and harassing to the members of trading community by resorting to undue checking of their vehicles carrying goods from Lakhanpur to Jammu. He termed this whole process as an act just to harass the traders because whatsoever material they are bringing, stand already checked by the CT Department
