KATHUA, Oct 27: District Development Commissioner, Kathua , Rohit Khajuria has issued notification for constitution of Municipal Council Kathua and Municipal Committees of Basohli, Billawar, Hiranagar, Nagri Parole and Lakhanpur falling in Kathua district.
As per the notification, the election for Chairman and vice chairman for Kathua Municipal Council will be held on November 1 at 11 am and the oath of office to the chairman, vice chairman and other members will be administered by Additional DC Kathua on the same day.
Likewise the date for oath ceremony and election of presidents vice presidents of other Municipal Committees will also be held on same day and time. The oath to the members of Basohli MC will be administered by A DC Basohli, while oath ceremony for Billawar MC will be administered ADC Billawar.
Oath ceremony of members of MC Hiranagar will be administered by SDM, Hiranagar while for Nagri Parole and Lakhanpur MC members oath ceremony will be administered by respective tehsildars.
