Medical Camp held

JAMMU, Oct 27: A two day medical camp was held by visiting urologist from USA, Dr Shiban Warikoo at Shriya Bhatt Mission Hospital & Research Centre (SBMH&RC), Durga Nagar.
Sixty patients were examined by the doctor who said that most of the patients examined sought opinion and advice for Prostatic Hyperplasia besides chronic kidney disease.
The doctor felt that diabetes, hypertension and obesity were the major factors that accelerated the progress to CKD.
He advised proper dietary management, the concept of group counseling of the patients, and the role of dieticians and nurses besides a closer relationship between the patients and their family doctors.
Dr K.L Chowdhury, Director SBMH&RC while thanking Dr Warikoo described him as a son of the soil who has been visiting regularly to hold medical camps for he is keen to pay back to the community that reared him in his budding years.
