JAMMU, Oct 28: Former Member Parliament and senior Congress leader Madan Lal Sharma expressed serious concern over the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Rafale scam and alleged that BJP led Government at the Centre has compromised on India’s defence.
While addressing a workers meeting here today the former Cong MP attacked the Centre over the “Rafale scam” and called Rafale deal as the biggest scam in the country which has even compromised India’s defence. Sharma further alleged that BJP is directly benefitting from the scam as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is completely silent on the matter.
Referring to Prime Minister Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” he said Prime Minister never talks of any issues which are hurting the citizens of the country. He also mentioned that almost five years have gone and people are still hoping that the BJP Government would usher in change as promised by them. Madan Lal emphasized that the entire country knows that it is a clear case of “corruption” and the Prime Minister has benefitted his friend Anil Ambani by robbing the nation. He also highlighted how the CBI Director was removed during mid-night raid which further raises the suspicion on the Modi Government.
The Congress leader further said that the Centre Government was lacking a comprehensive policy for protecting people living on the International Border or Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu region. He said that people are continuously facing threat from ceasefire violations and Government has failed to protect people living on the border.
Sharma also alleged that `BJP-PDP Coalition’ was a Government of corruption and scams which are now coming in public one by one. The complete selection list of J&K Bank was changed and favorites of politicians were appointed by darkening the future of the deserving and meritorious candidates. Even the working of Public Service Commission (PSC) was compromised under the BJP Govt where the candidates were selected even without appearing in the KAS exam. The State Govt employees were also hit by the Insurance Scam in which they were forced to buy expensive insurance policy from the Anil Ambani’s Insurance Company on the similar lines of Rafale Scam by Modi to benefit Anil Ambani, the Ex-MP maintained.
