JAMMU, Oct 29: Provincial Electric Employees Union (PEEU) has urged upon the State Administration to release the pending wages of need base/ casual labour and seasonal workers of the PDD.
In a press statement, PC Sharma, president of the Union during meeting at Basohli today, urged upon the State Administration to clear the pending wages of the workers in view of coming Diwali festival. He also demanded allotment of proper scale while conversion into regular cadre among other 60,000 workers, provide benefit under SRO 43 and create promotion avenues for such workers in the Department as many posts were lying vacant.
