Police solves theft case in 3 hours

Srinagar, Oct 30 : Police today solved a theft case in a record time of three hours by arresting the two accused persons and recovering an amount of three lakhs ninety three thousand along with one laptop in Baramulla district.
A Police spokesman said that Police station Tangmarg received a written complaint from Shahid Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Razak Malik, a resident of Katipora Tangmarg stating that on the intervening night of 28/29 October some unknown persons have barged into the office of the flour mill of the complainant’s brother and broke the safe and steal rupees three lacs ninety thousand and one laptop from the office of the Flour Mill namely Malik Aata chakki located at Sulendha Katipora Tangmarg.
He said a case FIR No:-93/2018 U/S 457,380 RPC was registered in P/S Tangmarg and investigation of the case was set into motion and during the course of investigation two employees of the flour mill were brought by police for questioning who confessed that they had committed the crime and on their identification the stolen money along with one laptop was recovered from the dump site situated at the backside of the flour Mill.
“Accordingly both the accused persons have been arrested in the case and further investigation is going on,” he said.
