Music band to encourage budding talent: VC

JAMMU, May 4: Department of Students Welfare and Students Cultural Council, University of Jammu organised “Rock Show-An Art of Voice”, at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
Blood Line from MIET College, Pooja Langeh from Chemistry Department, Avneesh from Law School, Super Solitude and Aman Sahni were amongst five bands which performed in this rock show besides a blend of different cultural activities.
On the occasion, Prof MP Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University was the chief guest while Lida Singh was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof MP Singh Ishar, applauded the efforts of department and announced the formation of music club, which will provide the platform to encourage the talent of budding artist.
Lida Singh, while speaking gave a word of advice to the students.
Among others present were Prof Naresh Padha, Registrar, Prof Desh Bandhu Gupta, Director, College Development Council, Prof MK Dhar, Controller of Examinations, Prof NK Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Director, The Business School (TBS) and Dean Placements, Dr DL Choudhary, Administrator, GZSAC, Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Joint Registrar, CDC, Rani Kumari, secretary, Students Cultural Council, staff, faculty, deans and departmental cultural secretaries.
