2 drivers arrested for overloading

RAJOURI, Nov 1: Continuing its drive against traffic violations, Rajouri police today booked two more drivers for overloading in Sunderbani area of the district.
Official sources said that during checking by Police team from Sunderbani Police Station, one Tata Magic vehicle No. JK11A-8525 on way to Sunderbani from Peli, being driven by driver Pardeep Kumar, son of Isher Das resident of Peli was found overloaded with eleven passengers and some were hanging from stairs of vehicle thus causing danger to their lives.
In this connection a case FIR No.110/18 u/S 279/336 RPC, 39/192 MV Act has been registered in Police Station Sunderbani. The driver was also arrested on spot.
Another Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK02AK/ 6824 on way to Sunderbani from Bajabhain, being driven by driver, namely Zaffer Iqbal, son of Abdul Qayoom, a resident of Madana in Surankote was intercepted and found overloaded with 22 passengers. In this connection, a case FIR No.111/18 u/S 279/336 RPC and 39/192 MV Act was registered at Sunderbani Police Station. The vehicle driver was also arrested.
Moreover, two motorcycles were seized besides drivers of five other vehicles were also fined.
