RAJOURI, Nov 1: A large number of former Sarpanches and locals of Thanna Mandi area, held protest demonstration against the Agriculture and Horticulture departments for the alleged neglect of the farming community of the area.
The speakers strongly criticized the Horticulture and Agriculture Departments for Ignoring the farmers and locals, for organizing the Awareness Camp some 3 Kms away from Thanna Mandi town.
Ex Sarpanches Including Abdul Aziz, Mumtaz Choudhary, Manir Hussain, Mehmood Ahmed, Talib Hussain and others have demanded action against the officers of these two departments for not informing the farmers and locals of Thanna Mandi about the Awareness Camp which was organised some three kilometers away from headquarters and the people from Manyal, Bhangai, Azmatabad, Darra, Mangota, Dhoke, Karyote, Kalas, Behrote, Saaj, Shahdara Sharif, Majhoor, Rajdhani, Khablan, Hasplote etc kept waiting at Tehsil complex.
It is pertinent to mention that a dozen of employees were present in the camp and only a few farmers were benefited from this camp which is totally the misuse of public money the Sarpanches have demanded immediate action against such officers who are befooling the poor farmers and misleading the senior officers sitting at the top.
