Distt Admn orders inquiry into PHC Mogla incident

RAJOURI, Nov 1: Taking cognizance of the video circulated in the social media, regarding issue of scuffle between a Medical Officer posted in PHC Mogla (Kalakote) and the attendants of the patients, the District Administration Rajouri has ordered inquiry into the matter.
The video circulated has brought out breaking of door and manhandling of the Medical officer by the attendants of the patient over the indifference/delay in the treatment of a patient.
Acting promptly Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohd Aijaz Asad has ordered an inquiry to bring out the facts. The enquiry committee constituted comprises of the Sub Divisional Magistrate Kalakote and Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri.
DDC has directed the enquiry committee to submit a detailed factual report within a period of three days positively, so that action under law could be initiated.
It is pertinent to mention here that during intervening night a patient namely Rajesh Kumar, son of Kamal Raj, resident of Mogla, was brought by his relatives to PHC Moghla, under Daramsaal police jurisdiction.
Reportedly, the doctor posted there namely- Showket Ali, resident of Qamarwari in Srinagar, remained confined to his quarter and didn’t come out. On this, the attendants of patient broke open the door of doctor’s quarter and allegedly manhandled him.
Thereafter, they locked the PHC Mogla and took patient to PHC, Taryath.
