JAMMU, Nov 10: Dr Mrinal Gupta, a practicing dermatologist (skin specialist) from Jammu, was awarded prestigious Korean Dermatological Association Young Asian Dermatologist Scholarship 2018 for his contributions in the field of dermatology.
A total of four dermatologists from Asia were selected for this scholarship and he was the only Indian among the selected. The scholarship was presented at a ceremony during the Korean Dermatology Association conference which was held recently and was attended by more than 500 dermatologists from across the globe.
It is considered one of the most coveted scholarships in the field of dermatology and he is the first dermatologist from the State to have received this award. The scholarship included a training fellowship in Pediatric dermatology and Dermatosurgery at Kyungpook National University Hospital Daegu, South Korea and a research paper presentation at the Korean Dermatological Association annual meeting at Seoul.
