JAMMU, Nov 10: J&K Handicapped Welfare Association has expressed concern over the non-implementation of decisions taken by the then Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti in the year 2017 when a delegation of the Association had met her.
Association President, Rajinder Singh Manhas in a meeting here today said that the decisions included including all the handicapped population of the State under below poverty line category and a provision of pension @ Rs 8000 per month to the handicapped people.
He also said that among other decisions was that self employment groups will be formed involving 5-6 handicapped persons so that they can earn their livelihood.
Manhas further said that these decisions should immediately be implemented so that sufferings of handicapped population may be mitigated.
