Fire & Evacuation drills conducted in schools

JAMMU, Jan 21: As a part of National level fire and evacuation drills being conducted in the schools under the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the Fire and Emergency Services Command Udhampur conducted a Fire and Evacuation drill at Government Higher Secondary School, Garhi.
The teams of staff and students were constituted under the supervision of Fire Service Personnel, who conducted the drill.
Similar fire evacuation drills were conducted at Government Higher Secondary School, Reasi and other schools at Ramnagar and Katra.
The aim and objectives of conducting these drills was to create fire safety awareness amongst the staff and students and also how to evacuate a building incase of any natural or man made disaster.
All these fire and evacuation drills were organized under the supervision of RC Raina, Assistant Director, Fire and Emergency Services Command Udhampur/ Reasi and under the guidance of Dr GA Bhat, Director General Fire and Emergency Services and RS Sodhi, Director Fire and Emergency Services.
