Accounts employees submit memorandum of demands to DG

JAMMU, Nov 12: A delegation of the J&K Accounts Employees Association, Jammu Province, led by its president Kamal Singh Pathania, called on Director General, Accounts and Treasuries and submitted a memorandum of demands, which are already lying pending with the authorities.
Pathania reminded that Principal Secretary Finance Department had constituted committee of K K Gupta (D G Funds Organization), M Y Pandita (DG Accounts and Treasuries) and Mohammad Rafi Andrabi (DG Code Finance Department) vide order number 400-F of 2018, dated19-09-2018 for earlier disposal of the Association demands but nothing concrete has been done till date.
In the memorandum, the Association highlighted the demands, which included; fixation of Seniority at the level of Junior Scale Accounts Officer 1: 1 against each category, creation of posts in various departments, extension of recommendations of Sixth Pay Commission in respect of J&K Accounts Subordinate Service-Class-I Assistant Accounts Officer, grant of Selection Scale to the Accounts Officer as per SRO i.e 50 percent of the existing strength, declaration of Accounts service as Technical, restoration of essence of transfer policy and its implementation from top to bottom, induction of Subordinate Accounts Service personnel in other service i.e in GAD and other department as well etc.
The main thrust was given on the transfer orders, issued by the authorities, wherein pick and choose policy was adopted. Moreover, the resentment was also conveyed on account of officials who are posted in the far-flung areas and had completed their tenure but not brought back to their home town.
The Director General gave patient hearing to the delegation and the demands reflected in the memorandum. He assured positive action on all the demands.
The Association delegation comprised of Adarsh Sharma, Shiv Paul Singh, Sanjay Pandoh, Mehboob Chowdhary, Rakesh Sharma, Rakesh Kashyap, Brij Bushan Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Rakesh Kashyap, Kulbir Singh and others.
