Absconder held after 25 yrs

POONCH, Nov 13: The police has claimed `big success’ as a wanted criminal was arrested after a gap of over 25 years in Mendhar area of Poonch district.
Apparently the police perhaps had forgotten to apprehend the accused wanted in case FIR No. 170/ 1993 under Sections 376/ 342/456/34 RPC by Mendhar Police. He was at large since October 30, 1993.
On the basis of information received from CID wing of District Special Branch, Poonch. The SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar and SHO, Anayat Hussain, under the over all supervision of SSP Poonch, Rajiv Pandey arrested the accused today from Mendhar area. He has been identified as Khushal Hussain, son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Banolla village in Mendhar Sub Division.
Meanwhile, Nowshera police in district Rajouri arrested yet another absconder after seven years. He has been identified as Mohd Kabir, son of Said Ali, resident of Dhanidhar in Rajouri. He was wanted in a case FIR No. 45/2011 under Sections 188 RPC, 3PCA Act of Police Station, Nowshera. Nowshera court had issued his arrest warrants.
