KISHTWAR, Nov 13: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Mahila Morcha, led by its State president, Rajni Sethi conducted a meeting of Kishtwar Unit of Mahila Morcha to discuss organizational issues at Kishtwar.
Surekha Sen district president Kishtwar and her team including booth presidents and Mandal presidents of Kishtwar along with other local senior Morcha leaders were also present in the meeting.
Earlier, district president Kishtwar, Surekha Sen read the welcome address. Rajni Sethi, while addressing the meeting, said great participation by the women folk is needed in the political activities to empower women and to act as the catalyst development of nation. She said that the BJP Government has truly revolutionized women by launching women-centric welfare scheme and prompted Mahila Morcha activists to ensure that the general women folk are benefited by these schemes.
Sethi added that the women have a very primary role in shaping the development of the society. She said that the BJP is the only political party which has truly recognized the women power and has given them representation at every step of the party. She further added and focused upon the strengthening of organizational structure of the Mahila Morcha at microscopic level.
Rajni Sethi updated the upcoming organizational programmes like “Mahila Jodo Abhiyaan” and “Sammellans” to strengthen the party and told that these programme are going to be organized by each district and mandal of the states. She also condemned the deadly attack by militants on Anil Parihar and his brother and said that they have sacrificed their lives for the sake of the society and the nation.
General secretary, Updesh Andotra and Prabhari Kishtwar, Anuradha Charak also spoke on the occasion.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Kunti Jasrotia, Anu Gupta, Geetanjali Mahajan, Parveen Arora, Prena Nanda and Sangeeta Anand.
Afterwards, president Rajni Sethi with her State team and district team of Kishtwar went to Anil Parihar’s house to pay condolence to the bereaved family.
