Sir,
We are writing this letter in response to the delay in the recruitment process of Naib Tehsildar and Patwari Exam, the posts of which were advertised in 2015. It’s been 4 years since the posts were advertised but till date the recruitment process has not been completed. Thousands of candidates are in a dilemma and no official statement has been issued in this regard by JKSSB. It’s an irony that in a state where the unemployment rate is at the highest, 12.13 percent, an exam takes more than three years for completion. Neither a calendar is followed neither there is any grievance cell. Careers of thousands of aspirants have been put at stake because of prolong delays. It’s very unfortunate that the Recruitment for the Posts of Patwari and Naib Tehsildar was on fasttrack basis but the process has not been completed even after four years to the date of notification.
The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board under the chairmanship of former Chairman Simrandeep Singh witnessed lot of reforms, time bound completion of various exams and one time disposal of the pending cases but the present state of affairs in JKSSB is not up-to mark and due to delays in various recruitments processes many aspirants have lost trust in the recruitment body.
It’s a request from thousands of to aspirants adopt a mechanism for time bound redressal of all the grievances and time bound completion of all the recruitment processes including the recruitment to the posts of Naib Tehsildar, Patwari and General Line Teachers. Also, please declare the long pending result of Patwari and General Line Teachers.
Kanwaljeet Singh and Sohail Malik
