Harming sports culture

One of the greatest enjoyments we humans created is of sports and athletics that go back to the times of ancient Greeks. Our State has not grabbed any worthwhile record in the history of national sports. There could be many reasons. Lately it has come to notice that unauthorized sports associations have come up in the State which lures sports loving youth to their training classes and thus starving the J&K Sports Council, the elite Government sports body. What is more, these unauthorized associations introduce secondary sports and games while relegating the primary ones to the back burner. Parents as well as prospective students should ensure that they are choosing only the authorized institutions for admission and training. A racket seems to have been created with links to similar unauthorized sports associations outside the state. It is not enough for the Government to issue the list of authorized sports associations; more importantly the Government should black list such associations as are fake and unauthorized. Even punitive measures should be proposed for indulging in clandestine activities and spoiling the career of innocent youth.
