ABS starts anti-drug campaign

JAMMU, Nov 18: Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj-a social organisation here today started an anti-drug campaign under the name ‘Nasha Mukt Rashtra Darshan’.
The campaign was started under the guidance of Col (Retd), R.K Sharma, organisation Chairman and S. Daljeet Singh, President.
Speaking on the occasion office bearers of the organisation said that narcotics like liquor, tobacco, chitta, bhucki, opium etc are easily available at Bhour Camp through drug peddlers.
“Young generation is spoiling itself by this addiction,” a handout of the organisation stated adding that they have also written to Incharge Police Post Chatha with a copy to SHO Satwari, SDPO Gandhi Nagar, DIG Jammu-Kathua range and IGP Jammu in this regard but as of now no action has been taken against the drug peddlers.
Col Sharma requested all particularly the educated and intellectuals of the society to come forward and play their role in motivating the youths against drugs.
