JAMMU, Nov 23: Prof. Anil Kumar, Associate Director Research, Advanced Centre for Rainfed Agriculture, SKUAST-J has been conferred with prestigious ‘Indian Society of Weed Science Fellow Award’ for the year 2016-17.
The honour is conferred to him during inaugural session of international conference of Indian Society of Weed Science, ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur for his significant contribution to the field of Weed Science.
Professor Anil Kumar was involved in 8 research projects taken up in the Division from time to time funded by various agencies like NATP (ICAR), HTMM-I (ICAR), AICRP etc as Principal Investigator.
He is life member of nine national and four international scientific societies, Vice-President of one and Councillor of two national societies besides being on the panel of referees for various national and international journals.
He is extensively involved in teaching UG, PG courses for the last 15 years having guided a good number of M.Sc and Ph.D students and has organized two summer schools sponsored by ICAR.
