PM Modi pays tributes to Constitution makers, makes special mention about Dr Ambedkar

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tributes to the makers of the Indian Constitution and made a special mention of the exemplary contributions made by Dr B R Ambedkar.
“The working of the Constituent Assembly gives us lessons in time management and productivity,” he said in his monthly radio broadcast Mann-Ki-Baat programme through All India Radio.
Indian Constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949.

“Let us reiterate our commitment to preserving the values of our Constitution…..It highlights our duties and rights,” Prime Minister said.

He said the statute book in effect guides all country men and women to make contribution for peace, progress and prosperity of the country.

Prime Minister made special mention of Dr Ambedkar and said ‘democratic spirit’ was part of him as an inherent quality.

The spirit of ‘India First’ was one of the chief Mantras of his life and teachings of Dr Ambedkar, Prime Minister said.

“December 6 will be Dr Ambedkar’s birthday, on this occasion, I bow down before him on behalf of common people of the country,” Mr Modi said.
