Recall sacrifices of Guru Teg Bahadur

NEW Delhi, Nov 25: In order to pay its profound gratitude on behalf of the Kashmiri Pandit Community to the great Martyr-Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Maharaj, Panun Kashmir (PK) led a delegation from Gurudwara Rakab Ganj to Gurudwara Sheesh Ganj Sahib, Chandni Chowk Delhi today. P K DelhiNCR Unit organised the event. The prominent persons who participated included Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, PK, Upinder Kaul its general secretary, Dr. Rajat Mitra, Member-Human Rights Committee, Rajinder Kaul, DelhiNCR Coordinator, P.L.Kaul Chitra, Vimla Chrungoo, Chushool Mahaldar, Rajiv Tikoo and Sardar Mohan Singh, Akali Dal activist, Ankur Raina and Vishal Sharma.
The delegation started their march from the Gurudwara Rakabganj and paid its obeisance at Gurudwara Sheeshganj at Chandni Chowk Delhi. The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee officials under the supervision of its president welcomed the delegation and offered the participants with Saropa and flowers.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, P K on the occasion said that it was a humble and noble beginning to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the Guruji Maharaj on his Martyrdom Day by the Kashmiri Pandit frontal organisation-Panun Kashmir. “We propose to follow up the “new tradition” under the banner of “Panun Kashmir” every year now onwards on the Shaheedi Divas of the great Guru”, he added.
He said that the contribution of the Sikh Gurus to the Indian ethos is a permanent feature of our culture and civilization. In this context, the role played by Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and his entire three generations has left an indelible mark on the glorious history of India. He made his supreme sacrifice to protect, preserve and promote 5-Hs .ie, Hindu Dharma, Human Rights, Human Values, Hindustan and Humanity.
The Hindu society and particularly the Kashmiri Pandit community remains indebted to the Guruji Maharaj. It becomes our duty to pass on the legacy of our history and tradition to the next generation to inculcate in it the values for which the great Gurus are remembered and revered by one and all.
