UDHAMPUR, Nov 26: Chenani Police today rescued 8 bovine animals and seized two vehicles, in which these bovines were being smuggled towards Kashmir.
Based on reliable information, a Police party of PS Chenani laid a naka at Dhanas Patangarh road and intercepted two Tata Mobiles vehicles bearing registration number JK14F- 2945 and JK14C- 4867.
During checking, five bovine animals were founded loaded in one vehicle and three in other one. Police rescued the animals and seized the vehicles while drivers managed to flee taking advantage of darkness.
In this regard, a case FIR number 104 /2018 and 105 /2018, under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered against the unknown drivers.
