Decision on J&K Bank will expose defaulters: SRS

JAMMU, Nov 27: Shri Ram Sena (SRS) today lauded Governor, Satya Pal Malik’s decision to bring J&K Bank under the purview of RTI Act, CVC and State Legislature and said that those raising hue and cry over this should be investigated.
In a press conference here today SRS President, Rajiv Mahajan said that RTI to J&K Bank will promote transparency in the top financial institution of the State.
“The people now have a right to know about the non performing accounts through which defaulters have taken loan worth crores,” he said.
Mahajan demanded that Governor Administration must also bring cooperative societies in J&K under preview of RTI Act to strengthen and revive cooperative sector in the State and to ensure all round economic and social development of small and marginal farmers, artisans and other societies through its operations with transparency and accountability.
