Mayor discusses issues of JMC with Financial Commissioner

JAMMU, Nov 28: To sort out the issue of shortage of staff and the regularization of contractual employees in Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta today called on Financial Commissioner, Housing and Urban Development, KB Aggarwal here today.
During the meet, Mayor raised the issue of shortage of staff in the JMC and the regularization of contractual employees, as both the issues are pending from a long time.
Pertinent to mention here that from day one, after the new Mayor has assumed the chair, many discussions and meeting were held with the various officials at JMC to sort out the issue of shortage of the staff.
“In the absence of staff, motive behind the Swachh Jammu cannot be fulfilled, in this regard we have to seek the support of Government,” said Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta.
During the meeting many other issues regarding the smooth functioning of JMC were raised with the Financial Commissioner, KB Aggarwal, who also extended his full support and also assured that the issues will be solved earliest.
Later the JMC delegation led by Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta also met with the Principal Secretary to the Government, Rohit Kansal and raised the issues of planning and funding for the smooth functioning of the JMC.
The senior official further assured that the Government is in full support for the smooth functioning of the JMC and will try their best that their issues should be addressed soon.
Pramodh Kapahi Corporator and senior BJP leader also accompanied the Mayor.
