LPEF holds demonstration at Kangan

JAMMU, Nov 28: A protest demonstration was held by Low Paid Employees Federation at Kangan in Central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, today who also took out a procession in support of the various demands of the Government employees in the town.
The rally was led by the district president of the Federation, Mohammed Shaban Bhat. It passed through Kangan Market raising slogans in support of the demands and against the privatization of Power Sector and encroachment of PDC land and property by Revenue Department in Kangan.
The protestors also demanded age and qualification relaxation in regularization of daily wagers and other temporary workers.
The rally among others was addressed by Javed Ahmed Shah and Nazir Ahmed Magrey other leaders of the LPEF. They urged the Government to settle the genuine demands of the employees at an earliest.
