This has reference to the news item “India, Pak spar over UN relevance in Kashmir “DE Jan 23.
The Government of India has responded in a right manner to the attempts made by Pak Government to internationalise LoC issue. There is no role for UN in regard to Kashmir issue. It has lost relevance after 1971 Shimla Accord which attaches importance to bilateral talks to resolve issues which may arise between the two countries over Kashmir issue.
By internationalising the issue, it will get further complicated as many countries would like to poke their nose into this issue to mark their presence and make this issue further complicated.
Bilateral talks hold the key to improves the ties between the countries. Hope Pakistan understands the problem.
