35 bovines rescued, 4 arrested

RAMBAN, Nov 29: Four bovine smugglers were arrested and 35 animals rescued here today.
As per police sources, a team from Ramban Police Station intercepted two vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and rescued 35 bovine animals and arrested four persons.
The animals were being smuggled into the Kashmir valley from Jammu region.
Four people, identified as Mohammad Mirza, son of Mohammad Aziz, Abdul Karim, son of Hassan Ali, both residents of Kheri, District Udhampur, Mubashir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Afzal of Chinchyal, Banihal and Shakeel Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani of Parnote.
Cases under FIR Numbers 195/18 and 196/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act have been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
