CPI resents price hike of LPG, essentials

JAMMU, Jan 21: Jammu unit of Communist Party of India (CPI) has expressed deep anguish over the sharp rise in the prices of LPG cylinders, fuel and other essential items and said that poor and lower middle class people are facing brunt of this unprecedented hike.
Talking to media-persons here today, senior CPI leader, Dr G S Charak (Regional secretary), expressed concern over the growing situation and said that increase in the petroleum and diesel prices coupled with freight and fare hike and sharp rise in the price of LPG cylinders has created a situation where in the every life of common man has come under tremendous economic pressure. The party opposes all such increases which threaten the every life and existence of common citizen, he said.
Dr Charak further said that this constant and regular price rise has decreased the purchasing capacity of the common man and has made his life a living hell. He demanded roll back on all such hikes and appealed the Government to increase the number of LPG cylinders on subsidized rates to the common people.
