Srinagar, Dec 1: Inspector General Border Security Forces Kashmir Frontier, S S Chahar, today said they were developing a number of new techniques to stop infiltration across the border and their force was ready to face any challenge.
Chahar made these remarks on the sidelines of 53rd Raising Day function of the force at Humhama BSF Campus here. He said they have installed a smart Board Fencing in Jammu region and several other measures are also been taken to stop the infiltration. “We are ready to foil infiltration attempts of any nature and our force has prepared our force to tackle any challenge,” he said.

Asked about the challenges they face during winters, he said: “Challenges are always there irrespective of the weather. It’s a 53-year-old force and we use the experiences during our training courses to deal with the cases. We face challenges but have means to tackle with it,” he said.
He added that BSF was raised on 1st December 1965 and has been guarding the borders of the country for the last 53 years. “Today I want to congratulate my troops stationed at the borders of the country for their job. It is because of them the whole country is able to sleep without any fear,” he said.
The IG was also the chief guest on the occasion. He along with other senior officers of BSF Kashmir Frontier and STC marked their presence in the event.
The occasion was celebrated with great zest and zeal and various cultural programmes were also organized during the event.
