REASI, Dec 4: On the demand of pilgrims, Shivkhori Shrine Board has started the facility of arranging Rudrabhishek at the cave shrine and special Aarti Darshan on payment basis.
Donation of Rs 5100 for the Rudrabhishek and Rs 500 for special Aarti Darshan has been fixed whereas no amount is required to be paid for routine Darshan at the cave shrine.
According to Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Dr Sagar Dattatray Doifode, who is also Vice-Chairman of the Shivkhori Shrine Board, the donation rates have been fixed on demand of the pilgrims and the new system has been introduced from Monday.
“Any devotee can now apply for Rudrabhishek by simply paying Rs 5100 and the Shrine Board will bear all expenses for the rituals, including the items required in Pooja. In case the devotee arranges Pooja items on his own, he will have to pay only Rs 2000,” he elaborated.
Similarly, he added, the devotees interested for Aarti Darshan in the morning or evening hours, will have to pay Rs 500 for this. However, one need not to pay anything for routine Darshan in the cave shrine, he clarified.
The Deputy Commission further informed that the Shrine Board is all set to start the facility of free Langar for the devotees visiting this cave shrine.
Pertinent to mention that Shivkhori cave shrine, situated near Ransoo in Reasi district of J&K, is daily visited by hundreds of pilgrims from all over the country. Inside the cave shrine, there is a three-feet natural Shivlingam.
