Acting inline to its opportunities beyond boundaries agenda, the Senior Director of the Training and Placement Cell Mr Santosh Nair along with the Dean of Engineering Dr Unnati Joshi, embarked on a collaboration and networking program to Wroclaw University, Poland. This initiative was taken by Parul University in partnership with Erasmus plus, a European Union program specifically designed to foster and facilitate academic exchange programs, through various forms of global outreach. In an effort to further create lasting opportunities for Indian students, on a more global scale.
As a way to explore various avenues for international cooperation, the representatives from Parul University met with notable personalities from Wroclaw University. These include Mr Andrzej Moczko who is the Director of International Affairs, Ms Anna Nosal, Mr Piotr Stypka among others, who expressed a mutual interest in enhancing the level of cooperation for the benefit of the Indian students studying under Parul University.
The major areas of discussion include the need to further enhance the areas of study offered under different exchange programs so that the students may have a wider scope of coverage. Also to note is how the delegation further discussed on the need to have collaborations on various academic activities such as conferences and seminars. One of the events of great highlight include “PiCet” an international forum for academicians, researchers and scientists across the globe to discuss contemporary research status and advanced techniques to address the challenges related to “Smart Engineering” annually held at Parul University Vadodara.
The trip proved to be even more fruitful as the representatives from Parul University went on to meet with various recruitment officers from distinct international companies such as Whirlpool, Procter and Gamble, Nedcon among others. To further create placement and internship opportunities for the students during and after their academic courses.
“Poland is the land of opportunities for the new generation of passing out graduates and post graduates from engineering and applied sciences due to the demand supply gap in terms of the availability of manpower in such fields. It is also an investment destination for many companies due to favourable factors such as educated workforce, affordable labor, strategic location, strong internal demand and favourable business environment. It has also proven to be an excellent study abroad destination for students across the globe, due to series of support schemes from EU in terms of academic initiatives.” Mr Santosh Nair commented.
