RAJOURI, Dec 5: A villager and his 5-year-old daughter were killed while another injured when a Tempo Traveller rolled down into a gorge in remote Khawas area of district Rajouri this evening.
A police spokesman said that a Tempo Traveller No. JK02AG/ 0587 which was on way to Khawas from Kotranka, rolled down into a 200 ft deep gorge at Makku Galla near Badhal (Khawas), about 16 kms from Kotranka Additional District Headquarters at around 7 pm today.
The police party from Kandi led by SHO Manzoor Kohli rushed to the spot. The locals of the area had already reached there for rescue. While two persons were killed on the spot, the vehicle driver with critical injuries, was shifted to Kotranka Hospital and then referred to District Hospital, Rajouri.
The deceased were identified as Mohd Razak, son of Haji Dullah and his 5-year-old daughter, hailing from Khawas. The condition of injured driver, Altaf, son of Kala Khan, resident of Khawas was said to be serious.
