JAMMU, Dec 5: The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) here today organized a faculty development programme for its faculty members.
The resource person was Prof. B.B Goyal, University Business School, Punjab University, Chandigarh.
The programme started by Prof. S.K Gupta welcoming Prof. Goyal and the latter while speaking on the occasion, discussed the role of teachers as educational entrepreneurs in the present era.
He was of the view that now-a-days entrepreneurship has turned into one of the most significant educational activities.
After highlighting pros and cons of entrepreneurship he concluded by underlining certain characteristics of entrepreneurial education as it helps potential entrepreneurs to identify and pursue opportunities.
In the second part of the programme, Prof. J.R Dhotra and Prof. S.K Gupta dealt with the concept of Research Methodology and processing of research data.
The last session of the programme was conducted by Prof. S.K Gupta, Dean Academics of the institute, who discussed in detail the processing of data.
