2 impersonating as militants arrested

RAJOURI, Jan 25: Two youth impersonating as militants and extorting money from innocent villagers showing ‘toy guns’ were arrested by police from Budhal area today.
Reports said acting on the complaint of local people, the police party led by SHO Budhal Sarweshwar Dev Singh nabbed these youth from two different locations. They were identified as Zahir Sha, son of Ghulam Khadam, resident of Kote Dharra and Mohd Shabir, son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Dharamsal Badal. The police also recovered toy pistols from their possession. They used to extort money from the villagers posing themselves as militants.
The police had nabbed one local youth Abdul Majid of the same area some time back on the same charges. The clue about these two was established after his interrogation.
They had extorted Rs 10,000 from one Raj Mohd of village Gadyog, huge money from Mohd Ayub of Chakli village and also from Master Bashir recently. They had reported the matter to police and the Army also. The Army men were also looking for them. A case has been registered against them.
