JAMMU, Jan 25: Minister of State for Technical Education, Power, Information, Rural Development, Law, Hospitality and Protocol Viqar Rasool Wani today asked the officers to prepare a comprehensive plan for the proper upgradation and beautification of the JK Houses at different place across the country for the convenience of the people coming to stay there.
The Minister was addressing a high level review meeting of Information, Hospitality and Protocol Department here today.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, B. B. Viyas, Director Information Zaffar Ahmad, Director Hospitality and Protocol J. S. Jamwal, Special Secretary to CM Sufi Mohammad Yousuf and other officers of the department who were present in the meeting gave a general over view about the working of the department and also projected their demands besides apprising the Minister about the problems being faced by them.
Mr. Viqar stressed upon officers that the proper renovation of the properties of the State outside should be done on a periodic basis for the general convenience of the people.
While reviewing the functioning of Information Department, the Minister stressed for carrying out a sustained and coordinated effort to project the development works under taken by the Government on a large scale through different available mediums for ensuring mass publicity of the same even to the rural and far flung areas of the State .
Mr. Viqar while taking note of the demands and other issues of the departments said that he would take up the same with the Chief Minister for early redressal of the same. He said that the Government understands that these departments form a vital link between the people and the Government and every care would be taken to ensure that they don’t face any problems viz-a-viz infrastructure and logistics.
