JAMMU, Dec 7: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held today at Jagti, Nagrota under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, its president.
The meeting discussed different issues regarding construction of Shiv Parvati Mandir complex near Lane 14-15 at Jagti, for which land was identified and reserved by Government. The participants said that the JTC took initiative to start construction of the Mandir complex and various structures have been raised after raising funds through donations. The work of construction is going on but the Committee has been facing financial problems to complete the construction of the proposed structures.
Pandita, while addressing the participants said that three big community halls, one Dharamshalla, for celebrating religious and social function like Yegnopavit etc will be constructed in the complex.
The first floor of the will be kept for establishment of professional training courses which will be in the best interests of the community.
He said that since the educated youth proceed outside the State to undergo professional trainings in different streams which has adversely affected the community as the old parents of students have to remain helpless in absence of their wards.
To facilitate professional trainings to the deserving incumbents of the community, the Institute will prove beneficial for the community besides ensuring job oriented trainings to the students.
