JAMMU: Indian cricketer Suresh Raina studded Uttar Pradesh on Saturday thrashed the host Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association(JKCA) by six wickets and added six points to its kitty in the Ranji Trophy match played here at the GGM Science College Hostel Ground.
On the third day, Jammu and Kashmir resumed its innings from 98/7 and added only 13 runs to the total.
The whole side of J&K was bundled out at a score of 111 runs. It could not capitalise the first innings lead of 102 runs and lost the golden opportunity of beating Uttar Pradesh.
At lunch on the third day, Uttar Pradesh had scored 64 runs for the loss of only one wicket. J&K bounced back during the second session of the day and grabbed two important wickets of Suresh Raina 11(36) and Akshdeep Nath 12(29).
At that time Uttar Pradesh was tottering at 107/3 wickets.
The UP batsmen cautiously kept on rotating the strike and reached the milestone for the loss of four wickets. (AGENCIES)
