Maha to formulate policy for 3D printing technology: Desai

MUMBAI, Dec 8: Maharashtra government will soon formulate a policy to adopt 3D printing technology, minister for Industries Subhash Desai on Saturday said.

Desai, who was speaking at the 3D Printing World Conference here, predicted revolutionary changes in future due to this technology in the field of health, auto, aerospace, jewellery and construction.

“The state government will formulate a policy to adopt this changing technology. 3D printing technology will help simplify many complex issues. This technology will be of great help to dentists. 3D printing technology will be of special benefit to reduce human error,” he said.

Desai said the state government will use the new technology for positive work.

Three-dimensional printing is any of various processes in which material is joined or solidified under computer control to create a three-dimensional object. (PTI)
