JAMMU, Dec 9: The body of a male child was found today from a canal in Jourian area of Akhnoor.
“Some locals this morning spotted the decomposed body of a 2-year-old boy floating in Partap canal in village Rattanpur in Jourian area,” a police official said.
He said on the information of the villagers, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem while the concerned police had initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in this connection.
