Kavinder tours Gandhi Nagar constituency, takes stock of basic amenities

JAMMU, Dec 9: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta today toured Gandhi Nagar constituency and started laying of pipe line of Water Supply Schemes (WSS) at Dashmesh Colony in Ward Number 56 Gangyal.
Kavinder Gupta along with Councillor Baldev Billowria started much awaited WSS and dream project came true for the residents as after completion of work the people of whole of the Dashmesh Colony will be supplied with the required water supply. This was the long pending demand of the area and this project will be executed by the PHE Department with an estimated cost of Rs 11.5 lakh.
Gupta said that it is the responsibility of the concerned officers and engineers to conduct field survey and project plans on priority. Referring to the developmental works under execution in Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Gupta said that the construction of various developmental projects are apace and on completion of these schemes it will change the socio-economic conditions of the people of the area.
Kavinder Gupta was accompanied by X.E.N PHE, JP Singh, Vinay Gupta, Harbans Choudhary, Paramjit Singh Raina among others.
Later, Gupta today visited Govind Pura, Satwari areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency and took stock of the developmental works besides people’s problems. He said BJP will fully support the newly elected representatives from the Panchayats for the development of the area.
Interacting with the people, Kavinder Gupta said that development programmes have been launched in the constituency with the aim to provide better amenities to the people.
On the occasion, local people projected charter of demands which included construction and up-gradation of Lanes and drains in area. Gupta gave them patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into.
