JAMMU, Dec 10: Theatre group ‘Ek Sath Rang Mandal’ here today staged Vijay Malla’s play ‘Bhiksha Nahe Shiksha Do’.
The play revolved around the menace of child beggars.
Laxman Dass was a senior citizen and a social worker who made children aware about child beggary and its reforms.
He tells children that all of us should condemn and discourage beggary and child labour.
“Our mission should be to shift the children from beggary to education for better future,” he said adding that main cause of this evil is poverty.
He also said that within a few years many children have turned beggars by appearing with dirty faced and in torn clothes.
He further said that this has become an industry without any investment.
“Dangerous result of child beggary is that these children may one day become anti-social elements in the society,” he maintained adding that such children should be guided about Garib Kalyan Yojana and other such schemes of the Government.
Actors who performed in the play were Raju Mad, Vansh, Khushi, Mohit, Rohit, Sonu, Jano, Kuldeep, Manoj and Vijay Malla.
The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
