2 structures raised on forest land dismantled

JAMMU, Dec 11: The two forest teams in separate operations in Jindrah and Bajalta blocks of Jammu forest Division removed encroachment on forest land and razed two structures.
Official sources said that on the directions of DFO Jammu, Sat Paul, a Forest team led by Range Officer Jindrah, Kailash Choudhary and I/C Block Forest Officer Shiv Kumar conducted operation along with Forest Guards and FPF men and removed encroachment on Forest land in Compartment No. 8/ Jindrah at Pavana Korga, by one Akbar Ali, son of Abdul Karim. The team also dismantled a structure raised there, despite resistance by a few families there.
In yet another anti-encroachment operation, the Forest team led by Block Forest Officer, Bajalta Rakeshwar Singh and Beat Guards assisted by police and FPF men dismantled another structure raised in Forest Compartment No. 63/ Bajalta. The DFO asked the field staff to remain vigilant and resort to prompt action in case of any such attempt by the land grabbers.
