JWAM protest rally on Dec 17

JAMMU, Dec 12: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) will organise a protest rally of traders on Dec 17 demanding construction of Ring Road from Amphalla-Manda to Janipur High Court road and to start Metro Rail from Amphalla-Manda to Akhnoor.
In a press conference here today, JWAM President, Sunil Dimple condemned the PWD R&B for submitting the plan for financial approval for the widening 20 ft of Amphalla-Janipur, Roopnagar-Bantalab road from both sides to the Financial Com/Secy.
He said that nobody in the Govt is hearing traders’ plight and the Govt is not taking into confidence the traders and residents whose land is coming into the proposed project.
He threatened aggressive protests if the Govt continued with this plan.
Dimple informed that the protest rally will start at 11.00 am from Amphalla to New Plot to Tali Morh to Janipur High Court Chowk.
He appealed to the Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene into the matter.
The traders who attended the meeting were Mukesh Kumar, Vipin Mukesh, Surinder Singh, S. Randhier Singh Bali, Thodu Ram, Rakesh Sharma, Vicky and others.
