Chinar Primary School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 15: Chinar Primary School, the junior wing of Sainik School Nagrota celebrated its Annual Day at the school auditorium.
Captain Indian Navy A Muthuraman, Principal Sainik School Nagrota and Chairman, Chinar Primary School was the chief guest and inaugurated the cultural programme by lighting the traditional lamp.
The programme began with an action song “Ekla Chalo Ekla Chalo” exhibiting cultural diversity which is promoted by Sainik Schools under the programme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”.
Urmimala Das, Headmistress of the school conceptualized the theme of the function “Navaras” and dexterously infused it in every item staged by the budding artists of the school.
These cultural items depicted all the nine ‘Rasas’ (emotions) vividly through scintillating dances such as Totey Bajuband Ri Loom (Rajasthani Ghoomar), Loka Karu, Romanian Sringaram, Jungle dance, a mime titled “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”, a nukkad natak “Past Vs Present”, an English Skit “Peace–a child’s dream”, an action song ‘Splendid Surprises” and an apt finale “Himmat Karne Walon Ki Kabhi Har Nahi Hoti”.
Headmistress further presented the annual report highlighting the infrastructural up-gradation and scholastic and co-scholastic activities introduced in the school with an aim to develop children holistically.
Speaking on the occasion, Captain Indian Navy A Muthuraman emphasized on the significant role of teachers, parents and the society in developing all round personality of children.
