Kathua police rescues 19 bovine animals

KATHUA Dec 15: In continuation to stringent action against bovine smugglers, a police team led by Inspector Devinder Singh, SHO, Kathua today succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued 19 bovine animals.
Acting swiftly on a tip off about bovine smuggling , police team in the wee hours today established checkpoint on road near Old Bus Stand and seized two vehicles, one Mahindra Bolero without registration and another a truck bearing Registration No JK14A-8082 illegally carrying a total of 19 bovine animals. In the process police saved 19 bovine animals being smuggled in both the vehicles.
Police registered a case FIR no 441/2018 us 188 RPC 3/5 PC Act and investigation taken up.
