JAMMU, Dec 16: The 44th NHPC Foundation Day was celebrated at Ram Leela Ground Jyotipuram, Salal today with great pomp and show.
A large number of people including the employees and their family members participated in the celebrations and colorful programmes were held on the occasion.
The Salal Power Station emerged as number one and Mahila Club has organised different stalls and with the earning in these stalls the organization utilized the money for helping poor children.
The Salal Power Station which was on number one had also received the award recently for the same. Usually every year NHPC Day is celebrated on November 7 but due to Diwali festival falling on that day celebrations were postponed to December 16 this year.
Every year on the day Mahila Club installs stalls and it has been decided that the earning by these stalls will be spent for the welfare of poor children.
The inauguration of the celebrations’ was made by CGM, NHPC, Himanshoo Shekhar. The children on the occasion enjoyed fun and folic.
