Clear backlog of quota category: Front

JAMMU, Dec 17: State unit of National SC/ST/OBC Students and Youth Front (NSOSYF) today urged upon the State authorities to fill up backlog vacancies of SC, ST, OBC & other reserved categories through special recruitment drive.
R K Kalsotra, patron, NSOSYF & State president All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations while speaking in the meeting of the Front alleged that all successive Governments including last PDP-BJP didn’t provide due share to reserved categories. They have been deprived of their rights. He said he Governor must stop all type of general recruitment and first clear the backlog vacancies of Reserved categories. He also urged the Governor to allot adequate funds as per population under SCP/STP and further instruct to utilize this funds only for income generating purpose for the youth of SC, ST categories.
Maheep Bhardwaj, Coordinator NSOSYF, alleged that timely scholarship are not being disbursed among the students. Many students of these communities are being dropped every year due to poor education standard and no free tuition is being provided to them.
