JAMMU, Dec 17: A delegation of J & K Private Schools Association, led by its president Kamal Gupta, called on Riyaz Ahmed, Secretary J&K State Board of School Education, here today. The delegation highlighted the issues pertaining to imposition of penalty of Rs 10000/ to the private schools running Medical stream with instructions to migrate the students of class 11th & 12th in the nearby Government school at the closure of academic session 2018-19.
General secretary of the Association, Ajay Gupta briefed the Secretary JKBOSE that the scheme of studies and the combination of subjects at +2 stages has been prepared as per new scheme of studies in accordance with the NEP. Moreover, he added, the scheme for the subject combination at +2 levels is already mentioned in the curriculum published by JKBOSE and all Government and private schools are bound to follow the same scheme so that students can compete at the national level after qualifying +2.
Members condemned the affiliation orders issued by the JKBOSE in which Private schools are authorized to run Non -Medical stream only instead of Science stream. They demanded immediate rectification in all such affiliation orders.
Secretary BOSE gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured to mitigate all the grievances for the larger interest of students.
