JAMMU, Dec 18: A meeting of Mini Bus Workers Union was held here today under the chairmanship of Vijay Singh Chib, Union President.
Speaking in the meeting, Chib expressed concern over the decision of the Government to rehabilitate Khokha Wallas by constructing sheds in open Jammu Development Authority land at Mahesh Pura, Bakshi Nagar presently used as Metadoor Stand.
Chib said that since there are lot of difficulties due to lack of space, rehabilitating Khokha Wallas will add to the problems of public transporters.
On this occasion, S. Niranjan Singh, Union Chairman said that the Government should desist from such a move as it will increase the problems of transporters.
He further said that if the Government fails to mitigate the problems of transporters then latter, will be forced to come on roads in protest.
Jagatar Singh, Raj Kumar Choudhary, Naresh Kumar, Sanjeev Singh, Om Parkash and others were also present in the meeting.
